I work with adults who struggle with anxiety, relationship issues, and the general feeling of “not being good enough.”

Sometimes circumstances in life can send you into a spiral of self doubt and shame, causing you to believe you’re either too much or simply not good enough. Maybe you’re prone to feeling anxious and tend to overthink situations, people-please, or perform for acceptance. Or perhaps you avoid difficult situations by minimizing your needs or retreating into isolation. Whatever your patterns are, they make sense in the context of your unique life story. Your past relationships and circumstances may have had a hand in creating your patterns, but you can change those patterns for the better and create a more hopeful future for yourself. I want to help you.

In our work together, we will explore your story with gentle curiosity, looking into the internal beliefs that keep you stuck in unwanted patterns. I will support you in connecting with the parts of yourself that have felt disempowered or diminished. Through our work together, my hope is that you deepen the connection you have with yourself by better understanding your needs and bravely voicing them to others. If desired, we can process your story through a Christian lens, looking at your connection to God and how it affects your circumstances and the way you see yourself and others.

A little about me, I lived most of my life in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas before moving to Nashville in 2017. My career path began as an elementary teacher where I taught first grade for over 20 years prior to obtaining my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. In working with clients, I use a trauma informed lens, integrating components of narrative therapy, attachment based therapy, and parts work. I have been trained in experiential story work and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
