Weatherly Hulsey, Masters Level Intern

Do you ever feel like you have everything under control, and the next moment, you're completely overwhelmed? Perhaps you're great at checking off tasks, organizing events, or sealing a deal, but then you find yourself sitting in your car for an extra ten minutes, feeling disconnected, numb, or overcome with hopelessness.

Sometimes, simply existing feels tough, especially in the face of loss or an unexpected life change.

The good news? You don’t have to do it alone.

Rather than suppressing those overwhelming emotions, counseling offers a safe space to be your authentic self—no need to put on a brave face or keep it all together.

Hi, I'm Weatherly Hulsey, and I'd be honored to help you explore the questions and painful experiences that prevent you from fully living. Therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, connection, and empathy, and my role is to provide resources, teach skills, and help you develop strategies that enhance your well-being. Whether you're looking to rebuild your confidence, heal from past wounds, develop healthier relationships, or make choices that reflect your true values, I can help.

In our sessions, you get to be your whole self, even if you're still figuring out who that is.

Together, we'll honor your story with all its ups and downs, helping you grow, heal, and thrive in every aspect of your life.

My areas of expertise in therapy include developmental and relational trauma, identity development, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I approach therapy with a trauma-informed perspective, incorporating systems theory, somatic practices, and attachment theory. I employ tools that help reveal and address problematic patterns, and I work collaboratively with you to heal the underlying wounds that drive unhealthy behaviors.

My own transformative experience with therapy inspired me to pursue a career in this field. Currently, I am a Master’s Level Intern, working towards my M.Ed. in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling at Lamar University.

Creativity is a core part of who I am; I have a professional background in photography, marketing, and media. Driven by insatiable curiosity and a passion for learning, my eclectic journey includes earning a fashion degree from Auburn University, followed by a bit of an “Elle Woods” moment when I earned a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. Originally from Dallas, TX, I've made Nashville my home since 2013. When I'm not in the counseling office, you might find me with a book in hand, capturing people and places through my camera, enjoying community, or embarking on adventures with my family.

Deciding to pursue therapy is a brave and powerful step toward self-discovery and healing. Recognizing when you need support is a sign of strength, and I commend you for considering this path.

I hope you'll reach out today to start your journey.

I'm here to support you every step of the way.
